Welcome to Far North Ferret Welfare

Thank you for visiting our website.  It is regularly being updated so please check in to read of any changes or news.

Who We Are

Far North Ferret Welfare is a small establishment based about 18 miles South of John O'Groats in Caithness, Scotland.  It was founded in 2008 and is now run by Sabrina Tilt.  FNFW was affiliated with the British Federation of Ferret Welfare (the BFFW) in 2009.

We take in ferrets from all backgrounds and from all over the UK, no matter what gender, age or breeding.  We don't rehome our ferrets: once they come to us, they stay with us until the end of their days.  We give them the opportunity to go rabbiting if they show the inclination but we don't force them - our ferrets choose how they want to live.

Although we don't rehome adult ferrets that come to us, we are often contacted by people with unwanted litters who need help finding homes for them.  If you are interested in rehoming any young ferrets, or have an unwanted litter you want help rehoming, please let us know via our 'Contact Us' page, leaving as much information as to what you are looking for as possible, and we will endeavour to help you out.

Not only do we take in ferrets and help rehome kits, we also aim to advise, educate and entertain fellow owners and the general public.  We currently do this by running Ferret Racing and PR Stands at Game Fairs and Country Shows.  If you would like to book us for an event, please get in touch via our 'Contact Us' page.
