The Residents
We like to think of our ferrets as residents as they stay with us for the rest of their lives and some of them even work to earn their own keep. On this page we hope to keep you updated on all of our current residents, along with pictures and some information about each of them. The page is divided into the different group names
The Big House
The Big House group is so-called because they live in our biggest hutch! They are made up of Winfryth, Blanche and Smudge (albino jills) and Missy (a polecat jill).
The White House
Named for the colour of the residents (all albino hobs), the White House comprises Shroom, Amon Ra and Lando.
The Munlochy's
Named after the Black Isle Animal Rescue centre who asked us to take these ferrets off of their hands (and kindly donated a large hutch for them to live in). The group comprises a sandy hob called Freswick, a sandy jill called Rosemount (Rosie) and a silver hob called Bernie.
Brie's Kids
A group of three polecats made up of a hob called Sticky Freddy and two jills called Chaos and Mayhem.
Wellington
Wellington is a polecat hob who turned up in my garden in April 2018. He's a very friendly boy, estimated age of about 6 years but has a large tumour inside his prepuce. After exploratory surgery and a few different types of treatment, the vet and I decided that it would be too risky to try to remove the tumour so we are keeping him as happy and comfortable as we can for as long as we can.
